Convocation
Convocation's role is to elect four of its members to Council, the governing body of the University. All graduates are entitled to participate in the elections that are held every fourth year and as vacancies arise.
Categories of Convocation Membership
- Graduates of the University. Graduates include all those who received a degree, diploma, associate diploma or certificate from the University or its antecedent institutions following completion of any course that had duration of at least one year full-time or equivalent.
- Members and past members of the Council of the University or of the governing bodies of any of its predecessor institutions.
- Recipients of honorary awards and Professors emeriti of the University.
- Non-casual members of academic staff of the University*
- Non-casual members of non-academic staff of the University*
- Previous staff members who have been admitted to membership of Convocation and who have retired from employment having served the University for not less than five years.
- Those whom the Council has admitted to membership by resolution.
* Note: these members are eligible to nominate candidates and to vote but not to stand for election.

If you wish to participate in these elections, your name must be registered on the Roll of Convocation. To register please complete the Convocation Registration form and return it to the UTS Alumni & Development Office.
