UTS alumni awarded in Australia Day Honours At the recent Australia Day Honours, UTS alumni Christopher Hugh Pratten OAM, Dr George Mario Boffa OAM, Lindy Hou OAM, Susan Elizabeth Morris OAM, and Allan Stanton Jones OAM were awarded for their achievements. These accomplishments are an inspiration to the UTS community. More details
Pioneer clinical psychologist honoured Dr Antony Kidman, director of the Health Psychology Unit in the Faculty of Science and a pioneer of cognitive behaviour therapy in Australia, has been honoured in this year's Australia Day awards. More details
Master of Digital Architecture
UTS is set to offer Australia's first Master of Digital Architecture from the middle of 2005 stemming from growing international focus on digital design and imaging in architectural practice. More details
Engineering Team claim world first simulator
A UTS Engineering team led by Dr Nong Zhang claims a world first with its simulator that allows for newly-designed transmissions to be tested without the need for a car body, a road, or a driver. More details
Designing for an everyday 'augmented reality'
DAB graduand Peter Gould has developed a prototype to put the virtual reality concept, Augmented Reality, into the hands of everyday users like doctors, product designers, architects and school kids. More details

UTS students develop tsunami warning program In the days following the Asian tsunami and acting on a challenge issued by a well-known US technology columnist, two UTS students have developed a tsunami warning program for use on personal computers. More details
