Friends of UTS China

You are invited to join an exclusive group of individuals with an interest in contemporary China.

The Friends of UTS China and their guests may attend special presentations by world experts in contemporary China studies and participate in other interesting activities.

By becoming a member of the Friends of UTS China, you will have direct access to the insights and knowledge the China Research Centre develops.

CONTEMPORARY CHINA LECTURE SERIES

Members and their guests will be invited to special presentations during the year relating to modern Chinese culture,  society, business and economic affairs. Topics include developments in business, future trends, excerpts from new Chinese cinema with a commentary by experts as well as cultural developments in art and literature.

EDUCATIONAL EXPEDITIONS

Members will be able to invite guests to expeditions guided by experts to sites of Chinese cultural significance in the Sydney area. Planned visits already include the Oriental Collection at the Art Gallery of NSW, the Chinese Friendship Garden, medicinal plants collection at the Sydney Botanic Gardens along with many others.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

All Friends of UTS China will receive an attractive membership badge and a certificate recognising their involvement.

EXCLUSIVE BANQUET

Members and their guests will be able to attend (for a modest cost) an annual special Chinese banquet which includes a commentary on the development of Chinese cuisine.
