Access the UTS Library collection without borrowing items

Opal level

Free for up to five (5) visits or unlimited visits for $5

• Walk-in access to the UTS Library collection only.

• No borrowing or off -campus access to online databases. 

• In house access to databases where licences permit. 

1. Ensure you are registered with UTS:Alumni

2. Present your UTS:Alumni card as proof of alumni membership to Library staff.

3. Register online at the computers in the Library entrance or register prior to your visit.

4. You may visit the Library up to 5 times free of charge.  For unlimited visits  please purchase an Opal Library access card from the UTS Library.

Borrow items

Emerald level

$90.50 annual fee

$218 for three (3) years

• Maximum 5 items may be borrowed from the general collection

• Loan period is 14 days (14 day renewals permitted if items not required by another borrower.)

• No off-campus access to online databases. 

• In house access to databases where licences permit.

1. Ensure you are registered with UTS:Alumni

2. Contact the Alumni & Development Office to pay the fee. You will be issued with a receipt.

3. Take this receipt to the Enquiries Desk at the Library where you will be issued with a photo ID card.

• Offcampus access to Ebscohost Alumni Edition databases.

• No borrowing. 

• To view the databases available to Alumni, please click here

3. The UTS Library will email your access details for the online databases.

Borrow items AND use the online databases

Jasper Level

$180 annual fee

• Borrowing as for Emerald level access.

• Offcampus access to Ebscohost Alumni Edition databases

1. Ensure you are registered with UTS:Alumni

2. Contact the Alumni & Development Office to pay* the fee. You will be issued with a receipt.

3. Take this receipt to the Library Enquiries Desk  where you will be issued with a photo ID card.

4. The UTS Library will email your access details for the online databases
