We can help get your career off to the right start. UTS Careers provides a variety of services for students and recent graduates, within two years of completing study at UTS.

The UTS Alumni Career Service provides the following services for students and recent graduates.

Drop-In

Drop-in consultations are available at the UTS Careers Service (CB01.04.13) Monday – Friday between 10am - 4pm.  At drop-in, you’ll have 15 minutes with one of our Recruitment Advisors who can assist you with any career or recruitment related questions.

Occasionally, we may make changes to our opening hours, sometimes at short notice. Please check our Facebook page for the most up to date opening hours.

Accomplish Intensive

If you have just completed your degree, the Accomplish Intensive program is designed to help your employment prospects by refining key skills and developing your confidence in applying for jobs. This program is free for eligible participants – additional details are available on the program’s website.

Career Consultations

Applying for a job can be daunting. Our Alumni Career Coach can help recent graduates through the recruitment process. We can provide 45 minute appointments that can be conducted in-person, by phone or by Skype - so whether you’re based in Sydney, interstate or overseas, you can still receive support.

Our Alumni Career Coach can help you with a variety of topics, including:

  • Job search strategies
  • Resume or cover letter review
  • Interview preparation
  • LinkedIn profile review
  • General recruitment related queries

Career Hub

Our new jobseeker interface, CareerHub, is available to all current students and recent graduates, within two years of course completion date, free of charge.

Through CareerHub you can:

  • Search the job board to view and apply for current vacancies
  • Register for a place at upcoming Alumni Careers events
  • Access additional career related resources
  • View your appointments and event bookings
  • Have one of our Careers team review your resume

Advertise Jobs

We are always looking for opportunities for our students and graduates to enter the workforce. If you’re responsible for recruitment or hiring in your role, you may wish to advertise opportunities through our CareerHub.

Advertising is free, whether you’re promoting an internship, part-time, full-time, casual, paid or unpaid position. Contact our Recruitment Administrator for further details and assistance with getting started as an employer on CareerHub.

Other Alumni career services

Our career service team are focused on serving students and new graduates looking for entry level career positions. Alumni beyond 2 years of course completion date needing career support such as testing, assessment, coaching, or multi-session advising should seek a local career adviser through the directory of advisers recommended by the Career Development Association of Australia. They also have some free resources that you may find useful, which can be found here.
