Alumni Career Services
The benefits don’t end when you finish your studies!
Whether you are a new graduate just starting out in the job market, or more established in your career and looking to shift to a new role, or considering a new profession, we’re here to help.
UTS’s Alumni Career Coaching provides the following services for all UTS alumni, including graduates of our antecedent institutions.
Drop-in consultations are available at the UTS Careers Service (CB01.04.13) Monday – Friday between 10am - 4pm. At drop-in, you’ll have 15 minutes with one of our Recruitment Advisors who can assist you with any career or recruitment related questions.
Occasionally, we may make changes to our opening hours, sometimes at short notice. Please check our Facebook page for the most up to date opening hours.
If you have just completed your degree, the Accomplish Intensive program is designed to help your employment prospects by refining key skills and developing your confidence in applying for jobs. This program is free for eligible participants – additional details are available on the program’s website.
Following completion of your studies, our Alumni Career Coach can help support you through the recruitment process. 30 minute appointments can be conducted in-person, by phone or by Skype - so whether you’re based in Sydney, interstate or overseas, you can still receive support.
Our Alumni Career Coach can help you with a variety of topics, including:
- Job search strategies
- Resume or cover letter review
- Interview preparation
- LinkedIn profile review
- General recruitment related queries
If you’re still deciding on which direction to take your career, alumni are also eligible for an appointment with a Career Consultant.

A complimentary email resume review service is available by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please attach a copy of your resume and include your full name and student number (if you can remember it!) or other details to help us identify you as a UTS alumnus, such as graduation year and degree, and date of birth. You will receive feedback on your resume within five business days.
Our new jobseeker interface, CareerHub, is available to all current students and alumni free of charge.
Current students and alumni within two years of course completion are automatically granted access and just need to activate your account on the CareerHub site. All other alumni simply need to register details and request an account as per the following instructions. We aim to review all requests within two business days.

Through CareerHub you can:
- Search the job board to view and apply for current vacancies
- Register for a place at upcoming Alumni Careers events
- Access additional career related resources
- View your appointments and event bookings
If you’re responsible for recruitment or hiring in your role, you may wish to advertise opportunities through CareerHub in order to promote to current UTS students and UTS Alumni.
Advertising is free, whether you’re promoting an internship, part-time, full-time, casual, paid or unpaid position. Contact the Recruitment Administrator for further details and assistance with getting started as an employer on CareerHub.
