Did you know?
As part of the billion dollar UTS City Campus Master Plan, we’re building the library of the future!
Busily at work beneath Alumni Green is our new robotic Library Retrieval System (LRS), only the second of its kind in Australia. With a growing student population and space a premium in the heart of Sydney, the LRS has provided an environmentally sustainable and financially viable option, allowing us to maintain and grow our collection while providing students the various study spaces they seek.
And there’s more to come! The next phase of the project will see the construction of a brand new library, learning commons and research space in the heart of the campus (and right next to the Tower building on Broadway). Work has already started on the UTS Central, due for completion in 2019. It’s not like any library we’ve seen before – check it out on the UTS Central Project site!
