Australia Piano Quartet: Klang

In the intimacy of the UTS Gallery, alongside the atmospheric exhibition Clanger, the UTS Quartet-in-Residence, the Australia Piano Quartet string players, present KLANG on the evenings of Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 23 May.

Featuring James Wannan (viola), Kristian Winthner (violin) and Thomas Rann (cello), the performance displays the qualities of each solo instrument in three pioneering twentieth century works on the 15 and 23 May.

  • Ligeti: Sonata for solo viola (1991-1994)
  • Britten: Suite no. 3 for solo cello Op. 87 (1971)
  • Bartok: Sonata for solo violin Sz. 117 (1944)

Come along and join us for the announcement of our diverse and engaging program of new and expanded UTS collaborations.

The APQ are looking forward to engaging with a wider audience and further enriching the Quartet's contribution to the University's cultural landscape.
