Australia Piano Quartet

The UTS Ensemble-in-Residence, the Australia Piano Quartet invites you to attend the 2018 Residency, its first public performance of the year as part of the UTS series, on Monday 26 March 2018.

Featuring a 2017 UTS Commission from Australian living treasure Ross Edwards, alongside Russian masterworks by Sergei Taneyev and Dmitri Shostakovich, this special event will showcase the ensemble in multiple guises, as it moves into an exciting new phase.

The Quartet is delighted to welcome new APQ violinist Kristian Winther, an internationally acclaimed musician who will add further interpretive flair, insight and collaborative acumen to APQ's residency at UTS. Building on our ensemble core, we have also procured outstanding young violinist Anna Da Silva Chen to be APQ Artist-in-Residence, expanding the ensemble and performative possibilities across the UTS precinct.

Come along and join us for the announcement of our diverse and engaging program of new and expanded UTS collaborations.

The APQ are looking forward to engaging with a wider audience and further enriching the Quartet's contribution to the University's cultural landscape.
