Navigating the pathway to CEO from a woman’s perspective

The UTS Business School MBA Women’s Network invites you to attend a panel discussion featuring leading CEOs and an award-winning journalist as we explore navigating the pathway to becoming a CEO – from a woman’s perspective.

The latest research from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) recognises that Australia is making progress towards many aspects; however, female representation in leadership continues to be a cause for concern. The WGEA highlights that in Australia, women remain underrepresented at every stage of the career pipeline, “with poor representation at the C-suite and CEO levels.”

Two UTS Business School alumni – Elizabeth Loban and Annemarie Kanturek – will lead a dynamic panel discussion providing insight into what steps these women have taken that made a difference.

Wherever you are on your career journey, you will learn about:

  • Savvy navigation of workplace politics and what works
  • Successful and unsuccessful feminine and masculine approaches to leadership
  • How to ‘play the game’ – and knowing when not to
  • Personal power: how to exude confidence in yourself, your value and knowing what you are worth
  • How others have broken through the glass ceiling and reached the ‘C-suite’

Panellists include:

Catherine Fox

Catherine Fox – Journalist, author, Walkley Award-winner and former Corporate Woman Columnist

Christine Gibbs-Stewart

Natalie Goldman
