Alumni invited to share their thoughts on responsible investment at UTS
Members of the UTS community are invited to help the university shape the UTS Responsible Investment Framework
2 March 2016
Here at UTS, we are developing a framework to help guide decisions on financial investments, now and in the future, and to ensure decisions are congruent with the University’s values of social justice.
The first step of this project is the development of our personalised Responsible Investment statements. As part of this process, members of the UTS community, including our alumni, staff and students, are invited to view and comment on the draft statements by completing a short survey here before the Monday 4 April 2016.
These statements are a critical part of a wider project at the university – the development of a UTS Responsible Investment Framework – which we are undertaking with the help of external advisors Mercer.
The benefits of a Responsible Investment Framework include:
- Better alignment to the UTS Strategic Plan and Sustainability Policy;
- Better methodology to identifying a broader range of investment risks and opportunities;
- A systematic basis to evaluate future investments; and
- Open communication with our community in regard to investments.
Have your say!
Our alumni are an important part of the UTS community, and we value the insights and experience of our graduates, and appreciate their participation in the consultation.
