Calling all young entrepreneurs and change-makers

22 June 2018

Is your start-up set to change the world? Enter the 2018 Unilever Young Entrepreneur Awards for your chance to win a share of over €100,000.

The Unilever Young Entrepreneur Awards support and celebrate inspirational young people with existing start-ups that are tackling some of the world’s social and environmental issues.

This year, up to eight finalists will get a boost to help their initiative, product or service scale up and change the world. Unilever and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership have partnered up to provide prize money of over €100,000, along with tailored business consultation services for 12 months.

Entries are invited across eight key areas this year: Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Responsible Consumption and Production and Climate Action. If you have an innovative or scalable technology or initiative contributing to one or more of these categories, don’t miss your chance to enter.

UTS has a proud history of producing some amazing entrepreneurs through its transdisciplinary degrees, start-up programs and its culture of innovation – think Annette McClelland and Michael Griffin of Tekuma, Ido Leffler and Lance Kelish of Yes to Inc, and 2017 Alumni Award winner Rob Castaneda, just to name just a few. We’re excited to see the next generation of UTS alumni showcase their inspiring ventures to the world!

What do you win?

The winner of the HRH the Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize will receive a €50,000 cash award and one-to-one mentoring support tailored to their specific needs for a duration of 12 months.

The finalists will each receive a €8,500 cash award and one-to-one mentoring support tailored to their specific needs for a duration of 12 months.

Mentoring could involve business support and connections through to personal development coaching – whatever is most needed to help you.
